Position Overview: Term: 6-month contract to hire Location: fully on-site in New York, NY 10013 Pay: up to 70/hr Hours: M-F 8-5pm EST
We are seeking a Senior AV Specialist with 6–8 years of corporate AV experience to provide high‑quality, onsite support for enterprise conference rooms, executive meeting spaces, and collaboration environments. This role requires a hands‑on professional who can independently manage AV support, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver a white‑glove experience for business leaders and stakeholders.
What you will do as the AV Specialist:
Provide day‑to‑day onsite AV support for corporate conference rooms and executive meeting spaces
Independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio‑visual systems for meetings, presentations, and hybrid collaboration sessions
Support video conferencing platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and WebEx
Configure, operate, and troubleshoot AV control systems such as Crestron and Extron
Deliver white‑glove AV support for executives and high‑visibility meetings
Serve as the primary point of contact for AV incidents during meetings and events
Proactively identify and resolve AV issues to minimize downtime
Partner with IT, facilities, and workplace services teams to ensure consistent AV performance
Document room configurations, known issues, and resolution steps
Provide limited after‑hours or on‑call support as required for critical meetings
What you will bring to the team:
6–8 years of hands‑on AV experience in a corporate or enterprise environment
Strong experience supporting conference rooms, executive boardrooms, and collaboration spaces
Advanced troubleshooting skills across audio, video, control systems, and signal flow
Proven experience with Crestron and/or Extron control systems
Deep familiarity with enterprise video conferencing platforms
Ability to operate independently and make real‑time decisions during meetings
Strong communication and customer service skills, especially with senior stakeholders
Comfortable working in fast‑paced, high‑expectation corporate settings
Advanced AV System Design & Configuration

Proven experience designing, configuring, and implementing complex AV systems on the back end in a corporate enterprise environment
Hands-on expertise using Q-SYS Designer for system architecture, DSP configuration, control design, and ongoing optimization
Ability to architect scalable, standardized AV solutions across multiple room types and global offices
Podcast Studio Ownership & Media Production

Experience setting up, maintaining, and supporting a dedicated podcast studio including microphones, mixers, cameras, lighting, and acoustics
Strong preference for candidates who can perform post-production editing and assist with publishing and distribution
Ability to maintain broadcast-quality audio and video standards
Enterprise Conference Room Ownership

Experience owning of all corporate conference rooms company-wide, including executive boardrooms and collaboration spaces
Experience acting as the central AV owner coordinating with onsite IT, facilities, and vendors
Experience diagnosing and resolve issues remotely and onsite when required
Experience establishing and maintain AV standards, documentation, and best practices
Global Support & Time Zone Flexibility

Willingness to support a global user base including early-morning coverage aligned to London business hours
Flexibility for late-evening support as new offices open, including Sydney
Willingness to provide occasional off-hours support for critical meetings
Preferred Qualifications
Crestron and/or Extron certifications
Experience supporting executive leadership teams
Exposure to networked AV systems
Experience supporting hybrid or large‑scale corporate meetings
