Role Overview

The Senior Relationship Manager – Insurance General Accounts at Capital Group leads strategic relationship management for the firm’s Insurance General Accounts business. The role focuses on deepening client engagement, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as primary point of contact for general account clients, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
Develop and execute strategic expansion into the insurance general account segment.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Investment Group, Product, Operations, Compliance & Legal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Analyze client portfolios to identify investment opportunities and mitigate risks.
Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations with senior stakeholders across investment and operations functions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; partner with compliance, legal and investment teams.
Educate clients on evolving National Association of Insurance Commissioners regulations and serve as subject‑matter expert.
Partner with retail insurance business development team on firm strategy for the Life & Annuity space.
Represent Capital Group at industry events, conferences, and consultant forums.
Qualifications

10+ years of relationship management experience with a proven track record managing large, complex accounts and driving strategic growth in the insurance space.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a strategic mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
Ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence at all levels.
Deep understanding of the insurance landscape and substantial technical knowledge of investment strategies deployed in insurance.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; CFA and/or advanced business degree preferred.
Series 7, 66 (or equivalent) and 24 licenses.
Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range $217,000 – $261,000, plus two annual bonuses, a generous retirement contribution, and Capital’s annual profitability bonus.
