Job Summary
Retail Associate is responsible for assisting guests as they shop, including greeting guests, answering questions related to the merchandise, and following procedures to capture the sale and purchase of merchandise.

Position Type: Seasonal

Season Dates: May to late September/October 2026

Pay: $14.25/hour

Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

Greet guests within the retail store area, helping to ensure a positive guest experience.

Assist in keeping merchandise stocked on the shelves, counters, and tables within the retail store.

Assist guests with merchandise, answering questions, making suggestions based on guests’ needs, emphasizing selling points of article such as quality and utility, and demonstrating use of merchandise.

Follow procedures to prepare guest sales in the register.

Maintain assigned cashier drawer and follow all cash handling and payment procedures.

Examine defective article returned by customer to determine if refund or replacement should be made.

Follow Company and departmental environmental and safety practices, policies, and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous retail experience is preferred.

Previous cash handling experience is strongly preferred.

Ability to provide excellent guest service.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment where tasks and priorities can change quickly and with little notice.

Willing to pitch in and help the team with tasks.

Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who likes to have fun and has the passion to work.

Physical Requirements

Constantly standing, walking, handling, reaching outward, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 12 pounds.

Frequently reaching above shoulder, climbing, lifting/carrying 11-20 pounds, and pushing/pulling up 13-25 pounds.

Occasionally crawling, squatting/kneeling, bending, lifting/carrying 21 to over 100 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 26-100 pounds.
