Production Engineer

Overview

Production Engineer at Nouryon, a global team dedicated to developing innovative and sustainable solutions for customers across industries. Your role will focus on optimizing plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and quality production.
Responsibilities

Act as a technical resource for operations, enhancing plant performance and unit profitability.
Diagnose and resolve deviations in unit performance, documenting root causes and driving solutions.
Lead cost‑reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Provide training and guidance to team members, supporting production goals.
Respond urgently to unit issues and emergencies, serving as the unit technical expert during unplanned events.
Maintain compliance with plant operating permits and safety policies.
Control procedure and documentation, from SOP creation to change management via MOC processes.
Participate in Process Hazard Analysis for assigned units.
Qualifications

B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
3–5 years of production experience in a chemical facility.
Experience in a union environment and supervisory skill managing a team of operators.
Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and leadership abilities.
Capacity to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Must wear steel‑toed shoes and safety glasses when entering the plant.
Knowledge of plant processes, equipment, products, and site practices.
Proficiency with SAP.
Salary and Benefits

Hiring salary range: $88,000 – $125,600 (potential to increase based on qualifications and experience). Eligible for annual bonuses.
