Volunteer Opportunity: Social Media Planning & Content Strategy Support

Mending Our Mistakes, Inc. is a nonprofit organization focused on helping court-involved parents rebuild stability, strengthen family relationships, and create better outcomes for children. We are developing a unique model that combines supervised visitation, peer support, legal navigation, workforce development, housing stabilization, and long-term family support.
We are looking for a volunteer with experience in social media strategy, content planning, branding, or nonprofit marketing to help us organize and strengthen our online presence.
We need help with:
Creating a social media strategy and content calendar
Identifying the best platforms for our audience
Developing content ideas for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
Organizing our messaging around family stability, supervised visitation, housing, advocacy, and community support
Creating a plan for storytelling, educational content, fundraising posts, and volunteer recruitment
Recommending branding consistency across our website and social media
Helping us build a stronger voice that feels professional, compassionate, and authentic
Advising on tools or systems that make content easier to manage long-term
This volunteer opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys cause-driven work, nonprofit communications, digital storytelling, or helping organizations grow their reach. Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, content calendars, social media analytics, or nonprofit marketing is especially helpful.
Our organization is still growing, so this is an opportunity to help shape the voice and visibility of a mission that supports parents who are often overlooked in the family court system.
We are open to both short-term and longer-term volunteers, and much of the work can be done remotely.
