Job Summary
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator provides hands‑on role execution support for marketing and communications efforts that advance the organization’s programs, fundraising initiatives, and engagement, helping ensure individuals and families are informed, connected, and supported. This position focuses on social‑media content creation, campaign coordination, and day‑to‑day marketing operations across digital and print channels, ensuring materials are timely, accurate, and aligned with established brand and messaging standards.
Working closely with internal teams and vendors, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator helps bring ideas and stories to life through organized workflows, consistent storytelling, and reliable follow‑through. This role is execution‑focused and supports established strategies, priorities, and timelines rather than setting them.
This is a hybrid position with an expectation of working in the East Windsor office three days per week and remotely two days per week. The role also requires flexibility to work in the field, sometimes on nights or weekends, as needed to support events, content collection, and other organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Execution and Campaign Support
Support the execution of assigned marketing campaigns across digital and print platforms
Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and approvals for assigned projects using established processes
Ensure consistent messaging, tone, and brand alignment across all marketing materials
Content Creation and Storytelling
Draft, edit, and publish content for email campaigns, newsletters, website updates, blogs, and social media using approved messaging and brand voice
Execute assigned elements of the organization’s content calendar
Schedule and publish social media content across platforms using approved tools
Create marketing graphics using approved templates and tools, with attention to layout, clarity, and visual quality
Gather stories, quotes, photos, and content from staff and program teams to support storytelling efforts
Monitor social media engagement and flag comments or messages that require response or escalation (Includes weekends and evenings)
Engagement
Build and deploy email campaigns and newsletters using approved platforms
Maintain email lists, including basic segmentation and list hygiene
Support audience targeting efforts as directed
Performance Tracking
Track basic marketing performance metrics related to email, social media, and website activity
Assist with compiling routine performance summaries and reports
Vendor Coordination and Asset Management
Coordinate logistics and asset exchange with vendors such as printers, designers, and photographers as directed
Maintain organization of assigned marketing assets, templates, and shared folders
Track promotional materials and marketing inventory as needed
Administrative and Project Support
Track assigned marketing tasks, timelines, and deadlines
Coordinate cross‑departmental inputs and approvals for marketing deliverables
Support event promotion and post‑event follow‑up activities
Assist with budget tracking for marketing initiatives as directed
Perform other related duties consistent with the role, as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities
Hands‑on experience executing marketing campaigns across traditional and digital channels
Highly creative, with strong written and verbal communication skills and experience capturing high‑quality photo and video content
A self‑starter and problem solver who can think on their feet, connect the dots, and keep marketing efforts moving forward
Positive, solutions‑first attitude with the ability to stay flexible, collaborative, and focused in a fast‑paced environment
Experience working within structured review and approval workflows
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, rooted in a people‑first, mission‑driven mindset
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities with a high attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Powerpoint, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, Sharepoint)
Familiarity with platforms such as WordPress, Canva, Sprout Social Constant and Contact. Familiarity with Blackbaud, OneCause, Adobe Suites a plus
Working knowledge of major social media platforms and social content management tools
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Energized by fast‑paced, mission‑driven work that makes a difference for people and communities
Qualifications: Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
2‑4 years of experience in communications, marketing, or digital content roles
Experience in nonprofit or mission‑driven organizations preferred
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed
