Join us at KSHB in Kansas City, Missouri, where Scripps is looking for an experienced media account executive to develop connections and power local businesses through creative advertising. You will help local businesses realize growth by exposing them to compelling messaging across customized screen‑based advertising solutions, including OTT video, search (SEO/SEM), social media, digital display, e‑mail, and broadcast television.
Responsibilities
Sell broadcast television and digital advertising solutions to local and regional businesses and agencies.
Independently prospect, develop, and maintain new business using the Scripps Sales Process.
Host brainstorming sessions via Zoom or in‑office to craft upcoming ad campaigns.
Attend regular calls with existing clients to discuss performance and plan promotions.
Use ratings, qualitative, and market trend data to negotiate program ratings and advertising rates with agencies to maximize revenue.
Cultivate new relationships in the local community through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
Develop and deliver advertising and marketing campaigns and media plans.
Grow and optimize existing accounts, showcase attribution proof of performance, and provide best‑in‑class customer service.
Manage a sales funnel within CRM, achieving key performance indicators and activity levels.
Contribute to creative campaign development, including client communication, needs analysis, storyboard and concept creation, and production assistance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years proven sales success.
Experience in strategic account management, broadcast ratings, and digital execution is a plus.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; proof of insurance and liability coverage may be required.
