As an experienced account executive, you’ll help local businesses realize growth opportunities by exposing them to compelling messaging through customized screen‑based advertising solutions, including digital platforms such as OTT video, SEO/SEM, social media strategies, digital display, e‑mail targeting, and broadcast television. Responsibilities

Sell broadcast television and digital advertising solutions (OTT video, search strategies, social media marketing, and more) to local and regional businesses and advertising agencies.

Independently prospect, develop, and maintain new business using the Scripps Sales Process and customized solutions.

Travel to the office or use Zoom to host brainstorming sessions with your team for upcoming advertising campaigns.

Attend regular calls with existing clients to discuss campaign performance and ideas for forthcoming promotions.

Use ratings, qualitative data, and market trend data to negotiate program ratings and advertising rates with agencies to maximize revenue.

Network, cold call, and generate referrals to cultivate new relationships within the local community.

Develop and deliver advertising and marketing campaigns and media plans.

Maintain and grow existing accounts by reworking and optimizing schedules and products, showcasing attribution proof of performance, and providing best‑in‑class customer service.

Effectively manage a sales funnel within the CRM software and achieve key performance indicators and activity levels.

Contribute to the creative development of campaigns through client communication, needs analysis, storyboard and concept creation, and assistance in production aspects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or a related field (preferred).

Minimum of 2 years proven sales success.

Experience in strategic account management, broadcast ratings, or digital execution is a plus.

Confidence to speak with decision makers.

Valid driver’s license and good driving record; proof of insurance and liability coverage may be required.

Broadcast TV experience is a plus.
