About the Role
As the Director, Technology - Product Management for Digital Merchandising, you
will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the product
strategy for our critical digital merchandising and web content management. The
scope of this role includes item creation and management, web content
management, web publishing, product lifecycle management, master data
management, price execution, procurement and inventory accounting. You will
play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our retail and digital
business by developing and launching innovative products and experiences that
meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the product strategy for the digital merchandising
experience that drives growth and innovation for our digital and retail
business.
* Demonstrated ability to seamlessly transition between high-level strategic
planning and hands-on team collaboration. Adept at leading executive-level
discussions on organizational strategy while also effectively managing
detailed project details with the product and development teams.
* Lead a team of product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver
exceptional customer experiences through our digital merchandising products.
* Manage product budgets and timelines to ensure delivery on time and on
budget.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product
strategy, development, and launch plans.
* Define and prioritize product features, requirements, and roadmap based on
customer insights, market trends, and business objectives.
* Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with internal
stakeholders, including brand teams, sourcing partners, DC operations
leaders, design teams and WSI Technology to create industry leading digital
merchandising solutions.
* Stay informed and engage with emerging technology partners to leverage new
and emerging technology to create an industry leading solutions for
Williams-Sonoma, Inc. customers.
Criteria
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
12+ years related experience with 8+ years of experience in product
management, with a focus on retail industry and technology.
* Deep knowledge of both retail merchandising and digital merchandising
solutions and technology, and the ability to develop and launch products
across all channels.
* Proven track record of launching successful retail products and driving
business growth.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and
inspire cross-functional teams, including emerging technology partners.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the proven ability to
use data to drive decision-making.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas
to stakeholders at all levels.
* Passion for customer experience and the ability to create products that meet
their evolving needs leveraging emerging technology including augmented
reality, mobile technology, and advanced artificial intelligence.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse set of business and
technology partners.
* The role requires being onsite in the San Francisco, CA or Rocklin, CA office
Monday through Thursday and Friday as optional in the office.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $200,000 - $235,000.
Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined
based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition
to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like
benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
