*The San Francisco Chapter Grammy U Rep position pays county/state minimum wage rates, based on work location.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR: A highly motivated college student familiar with Grammy U and its programs, who is engaged and active on campus. You should have a pulse on the music scene as well as an awareness of the interests of local Grammy U members. You should be comfortable speaking in front of large groups and on camera, be organized, and able to follow through on projects from beginning to end. We are looking for big ideas and the confidence needed to implement them!
Responsibilities

Working with the local Recording Academy Chapter, Grammy U National Team, Community Advocates, and Grammy U Ambassadors on student and non‑student membership recruitment and retention initiatives, as well as program development, marketing, and implementation.
Developing membership recruitment/retention strategies to maintain a vital student membership base across local campuses, as well as non‑student membership across local communities.
Leading and supervising Grammy U Ambassadors by facilitating Ambassador meetings and initiatives.
Organizing, marketing, and executing approved local programs for Grammy U members in collaboration with local Chapter staff, the Grammy U National Team, Ambassadors, and all members.
Serving as an advocate for the Recording Academy, disseminating important information and announcements, often via social media.
Advocating for member and campus/community needs, ensuring the Academy stays tuned into the next generation’s membership needs.
Public‑facing role, frequently on camera or on highly visible platforms such as Grammy U social accounts and Grammy.com.
Attending local Chapter’s monthly Board Meeting to provide updates on Grammy U and share insights on topics important to all members (if required).
Qualifications & Experience

Current Grammy U member with prior experience attending or volunteering at Grammy U programs.
Open to individuals enrolled in a 2‑ or 4‑year university, with at least two semesters remaining before graduation, as well as graduate students.
Full‑time student pursuing a career in music.
Ability to effectively speak and communicate in front of groups, in writing, public presentations, and on camera.
Must possess strong organizational, time management, and follow‑up skills.
Must have the ability to lead peers and organize volunteer efforts.
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in computer programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Attention to detail, solid grammar, punctuation, and basic mathematical skills.
Must have solid people skills.
Commits to a 20‑hour workweek; may work occasional nights and weekends depending on events.
Must have a dedicated workspace with a well‑functioning computer, able to work on a mobile device as needed.
Experience in writing (newspaper, editorial, features), social media management (Instagram, TikTok, photo/video editing apps), video/photo editing/design (Adobe suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, Canva), event production and execution, and/or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Physical Demands

Occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time; work at a computer for long periods; lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
