Position Overview
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for improving Shockwave’s brand experience and resonance through powerful creative. The role collaborates with brand strategy, product marketing, professional education, market access, and conference leads to ensure compelling, visually‑impactful content resonates with customers through our channels in a timely and consistent manner. The position reports to the Associate Creative Director.
Responsibilities
Develop creative designs to communicate Shockwave IVL and Shockwave Reducer stories, managing design from conception to delivery.
Contribute to the development and execution of campaigns supporting product launches, including print, web, e‑blasts, digital templates, and digital advertising (display and social).
Work with members of the creative team on larger projects to maintain consistency and ensure timely completion.
Produce creative collateral for conferences and tradeshows and contribute to booth design as needed.
Develop materials supporting Shockwave’s brand integration with Johnson & Johnson MedTech.
Support cross‑functional teams (HR, Sales, Ops, R&D) with creative needs.
Assist with developing PowerPoint presentations and templates.
Collaborate with contractors and agencies that support content and branding needs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
At least 5 years of experience in healthcare marketing or agency creative work; MedTech experience a plus.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design programs; ability to design for and work within PowerPoint.
Experience with interactive/digital channels (web, social media, etc.).
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities, both independently and as part of a team, and adapting to changing requirements.
Up to 20% travel may be required.
Pay & Benefits
Salary range: $91,000 – $147,200 (Bay Area: $105,000 – $169,050). Eligible for annual performance bonus based on individual and company performance.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, business accident insurance, group legal insurance, consolidated retirement plan (pension), and 401(k) savings plan.
Time off: Vacation up to 120 hours per calendar year; Sick time up to 40 hours per calendar year (56 hours in Washington); Holiday pay, including floating holidays, up to 13 days per calendar year; Work, Personal and Family Time up to 40 hours per calendar year.
