Director of Government Affairs

Seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Government Affairs, the full-time hybrid role will focus on advancing policy priorities by building relationships with federal officials, monitoring legislative developments, and positioning the organization as a trusted resource among policymakers and industry stakeholders.
Key responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with Members of Congress, congressional staff, and federal agency officials to support business and policy interests
Proactively monitor federal legislative and regulatory activities, providing actionable intelligence to senior leadership
Assist in developing and executing government affairs strategies, including drafting policy communications and coordinating with external consultants

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or JD strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in government relations, federal affairs, or legislative affairs
Prior experience working with Congress or federal regulatory agencies, particularly in the financial services sector
Strong knowledge of the financial services industry and federal legislative processes
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with senior government officials and stakeholders
