To drive sales initiatives for watermelon and melon crops, the remote, full-time Business Development Manager - Cucurbits will develop and execute annual sales plans, build long-term customer relationships, and manage pricing and profitability for strategic accounts.
Key responsibilities
Plan and execute annual sales plans for key accounts, including customer plans and sales targets
Build long-term partnerships with customers by providing value-based proposals and managing retailer connections
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate varietal performance and implement marketing strategies for the crop
Required qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 5-8 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Project Management
Well-rounded knowledge of the vegetable seed business
Advanced consultative selling skills, including negotiation and closing
Strong agronomic knowledge and project management skills
Ability to collaborate with global colleagues on portfolio strategy and development
