ProSidian Seeks a Media Specialist/ Graphics Communications - Procedure / Training headquartered near Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina to support an engagement for Nuclear Energy Sector Clients The Savannah River Site (SRS), a 310 square mile (198,046 acres) Department of Energy site, is located in the sand-hills region of South Carolina. It encompasses parts of Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale counties and is bordered on the west by the Savannah River and Georgia. SRS is close to several cities, including Augusta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina. It is also within a few hours of Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Greenville and Charlotte.
This *** | Non-Exempt position currently best aligns with the Media Specialist TR 108 Labor Category and ideal candidates exhibit the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while confidently engaging in productive "Jugaad" and dialogue targeting mission success. ProSidian Team Members work to provide temporary staffing support services to support Savannah River Remediation (SRR), the Liquid Waste (LW) Contractor located at the Department of Energy Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC 29808. Services anticipated includes storage, integration, treatment and disposition of the liquid radioactive waste being managed at the Savannah River Site (DOE).
Media Specialist/ Graphics Communications - Procedure / Training Candidates shall work to support requirements for 0 and The Media Specialist is a Professional Grade position.
Provide application of advanced skills in support of SRR graphic communications and web support. Topical areas of expertise may include, but are not limited to, multimedia and interactive multimedia, pre-press and electronic information products, graphic comprehensives, document production, exhibit preparation, video production, artwork design and layout, visual communications, and illustrating animation. Specific media support provided varies according to assignment.
General responsibilities include:
Designs and produces various multimedia programs which may include one or more of the following: programming, animation, graphics, audio/visual communications in technical, educational, or promotional information systems depending upon the individual assignment
Collaborates with SRR customers regarding needs and offers guidance regarding graphic communication capabilities and appropriateness of design decisions. Consults with and advises customers regarding production schedules, cost, and potential visual impacts of various media production technologies and techniques
Plans, organizes, and directs, graphic communication products yielding 3) professional quality, comprehensive, products for high profile use within SRR and of quality appropriate for client and company consumption
Provides broad technical design support for graphics services. Researches and remains cognizant of developing multi-media technologies
May provide other support to the department not related to media as time permits and as needed
Other duties as assigned
The Media Specialist/ Graphics Communications - Procedure / Training shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
Requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Media Specialists working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy)
Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, media or similar discipline and 2 years of related experience or;
Technical certificate in graphics arts, media or similar and 4 years of related experience or;
High school diploma or GED and 6 years of related experience
A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Media Specialist
A 40 hour work week schedule is anticipated for this position. Position will be on 4/10 schedule (10 hours/day; four days perweek). The Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch. Standard Facilities Access required but a security clearance is not currently required for this position
Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations. LOCATION: Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina
