Position Summary

Huron is seeking a Digital Technical Specialist with deep expertise in MEDITECH reporting and data structures to support healthcare clients across data, reporting, and analytics initiatives. This role is ideal for a highly skilled, self-motivated consultant who brings extensive, hands-on experience across MEDITECH reporting tools and platforms and can translate complex clinical and operational requirements into scalable reporting solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of MEDITECH data architecture and modules and is comfortable working independently in fast-paced client environments.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support MEDITECH-based reporting and analytics solutions
Partner with client stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Develop and maintain reports and extracts using MEDITECH tools including: NPR (Non-Procedural Reporting), Report Designer (RD), Data Repository (DR), Business & Clinical Analytics (BCA), Quality Vantage
Build and optimize dashboards and datasets to support clinical, operational, financial, and regulatory reporting needs
Demonstrate deep understanding of MEDITECH data structures, dictionaries, and module-level workflows
Support reporting across multiple MEDITECH platforms (e.g., MAGIC, C/S, 6.x, Expanse)
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across reporting solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve complex data and reporting issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Document technical designs, report logic, and data definitions in a clear, client-ready format
Manage workload independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional project teams
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–7+ years of hands-on MEDITECH reporting experience (required; 10+ years strongly preferred)
Demonstrated experience across multiple MEDITECH reporting tools, including: NPR, Report Designer (RD), Data Repository (DR), BCA
Proven experience supporting reporting across multiple MEDITECH platforms/environments
Strong understanding of MEDITECH data structures, dictionaries, and application modules
Experience developing reports for clinical, financial, and operational use cases
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality work with minimal oversight
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience with data visualization tools beyond MEDITECH BCA (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Experience integrating MEDITECH data with external reporting or analytics environments
Previous experience implementing and supporting Quality Vantage
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
Prior consulting experience in a client-facing environment
Experience supporting large-scale MEDITECH implementations or optimization efforts
Ability to support or lead knowledge transfer and training efforts
Working knowledge of data conversion and archival practices

The estimated base salary for this job is $115,000 - $145,000 USD. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $128,800 - $171,100 USD. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
