Job Title: Reliability Tech C Position
Overview
Execution of assigned tasks and duties with focus on safe work practices, high quality precision work with a customer service orientation in support of “Great Products & Service”, adherence to standards, learning and growing in maintenance knowledge, and providing feedback on job assignments and improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities
Maintain manufacturing process and support equipment to highest reasonable performance levels, including mechanical systems such as:
Power transmission components – bearings, pulleys/sheaves, shafts/rollers, couplings, sprockets, chains, belts, motors, gearboxes
Conveyance systems – product/process related and utility tied (steam, water, air, electricity, pumps, piping)
Mechanical control systems – hydraulic & pneumatic elements
Troubleshoot and execute repairs of equipment causing or contributing to safety, quality, downtime, and productivity issues
Communicate findings, identify potential causes, and provide correction steps to operations and maintenance leadership
Execute proactive maintenance plans on assigned equipment, including:
Preventive Maintenance (PM) – inspection, measurement, and replacement per schedule
Predictive Maintenance (PdM) – data collection and measurement using PdM tools
Condition Maintenance (CM) – repair and replacement of components identified through PM & PdM
Execute assigned or scheduled work orders to support project and process improvement efforts critical to business objectives
Assist Reliability Tech B’s, A’s, and Leads in installation and removal of general mechanical systems
Requirements
Safety practices – LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, PIT, Fall Protection, Hoisting & Rigging, Hot Work
Calculator and computer application – work order documentation, parts requisitioning
Measurement units, techniques, and application of appropriate tools
Math skills – arithmetic, formulas (area, volume, etc.), conversion of measurement units
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and make simple sketches
Identification and proper use of tools, focusing on the right tool for the task
Proper storage and handling techniques for lubricants
Knowledge of power transmission component types, terms, operation, and maintenance
Knowledge of plumbing/piping conveyance system types, terms, operation, and maintenance
Precision alignment techniques for indirect coupled elements, including laser alignment
Basic troubleshooting of mechanical systems
Common cause failure modes and correction of mechanical systems

Work Shift: 8 Hr non-rotating shift, hours fall to in punch day, observed calendar, shift starts PM.
