Job Summary/Description
WDTV is seeking a candidate regularly responsible for anchoring and producing newscasts. The select candidate should be a newsroom leader and should help with story generation. The candidate should thrive in breaking news situations and urgent/active delivery. The select candidate must demonstrate flexibility in the newsroom and on-air and present an energetic personality while delivering the news. The selected candidate must be a team player.

Duties/Responsibilities

Anchor our Daybreak newscast & produce the 5:30-6 a.m. half hour

Obtain some information on & write breaking news stories for the website & the shows

Share breaking news on Facebook & the news app

Qualifications/Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with newsroom managers, producers, and co-workers

Strong attention to detail

Knowledge of journalism ethics and legal issues

Ability to meet news deadlinesStrong organizational skills and possess the ability to multitask and work under pressure

Maintain a professional appearance
