Overview
The SEO Specialist is responsible for executing the day‑to‑day functions that support the digital marketing programs of large nationwide groups of automobile dealers and a myriad of non‑automotive clients. You have an exacting eye for detail and a preference for small companies where hard work is rewarded and the opportunity for growth is high. The SEO Specialist works to drive strategy that supports departmental, company, and client‑level goals. Effective communication and collaboration skills are critical to this role. Responsibilities
Manage client websites and maintain cutting‑edge SEO strategies that are in compliance with Google's SEO best practices across all verticals.
Conduct comprehensive keyword analysis and competitive research to identify ranking opportunities.
Collaborate with the content team to develop SEO‑driven content strategies.
Produce monthly product performance/KPI reports for clients.
Support cross‑departmental efforts to drive SEO strategy aligned with client and company goals.
Utilize technical SEO, link building, and other SEO strategies.
Optimize website content and digital assets.
Stay updated on SEO trends and industry best practices.
Perform detailed website analysis to measure SEO success and make data‑driven decisions.
Desired Skills and Experience
2+ years of hands‑on SEO experience.
Excellent written, oral communication, and time management skills.
Knowledge and focus on marketing analytics and ROI.
Highly collaborative, willing to listen and dive deep, be data‑driven, and motivated to drive continuous optimization.
Knowledge of web design principles and technologies, and their SEO implications, including a basic understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, DNS, robots, etc.
Have an overall passion for the SEO field and overall internet marketing realm.
Experience working with popular keyword ranking & page speed tools such as SEMrush.
Knowledge of technical SEO, on‑page SEO, off‑page SEO, local SEO, content development, conversion rate optimization, and analytics.
Understanding of various digital marketing channels, for example, paid search, digital PR, web development, and social media, among others.
Automotive industry experience is a plus.
Intermediate understanding of SEO best practices such as SEO friendly site architecture, meta tags, robots.txt, and redirection, with demonstrated knowledge through definition and application.
Experience with Google Search Console and GA4.
