Overview

That’s where you come in – you will work with the best fantasy illustrators to create every Magic card worthy of an award.
Responsibilities

Commission a high volume of artwork: identify freelance illustrators for each piece.
Provide continuous art direction on individual pieces.
Maintain solid relationships with illustrators and provide regular updates to the card content producer on art status.
Review print-ready files to ensure final card quality.
Participate in brainstorms on future Magic creative expressions and workflow/process improvements in partnership with department leaders.
Qualifications

2+ years of commercial art experience.
Portfolio demonstrating strong creative vision with a cinematic lens.
Understanding of Magic as both a game and a brand.
Strong communication skills and comfort giving and receiving feedback.
High attention to detail and organization skills.
Deep knowledge of current fantasy illustration market/talent and modern print/press techniques and processes.
Interest in discovering diverse, emerging artists.
Adept in Adobe Photoshop; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Compensation

USD: $103,200 – $167,800 (starting pay).
