Role Overview
Account Director on the partnerships team, based in NYC.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day partnership marketing and activation programming with client cross‑functional teams and relevant agency partners.
- Develop and implement partnership strategy and activation, evaluate additional sponsorship opportunities, and support contract negotiations.
- Lead research and analytics efforts across client deliverables and provide strategic recommendations.
- Liaise with the global account team to connect all workstreams.
- Lead and mentor direct reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of agency, brand or client‑based partnership account management experience.
- Experience managing the development and implementation of partnership marketing strategies and activations.
- Experience managing a team.
- Experience managing day‑to‑day relationships with clients, agencies, and vendors.
- Experience working within the music industry.
- Experience with sponsorship contract negotiations and talent contract negotiation.
- Knowledge of event marketing operations and logistics.
- Strong ability to prioritize workflow, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive results.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, solving problems independently and in groups.
- Excellent attention to detail and time‑management skills.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, team‑first player with a proactive approach.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to travel a minimum of 25% of the time.
Location & Travel
Role is based in NYC and requires a minimum of 25% travel.
Reporting
Reports to a VP based in NYC.
