Strategic Partner Development Principal Lead, TV Media and Entertainment, Content

Locations: Los Angeles, CA; Mountain View, CA; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA. The role may also be located in the Playa Vista, CA campus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 8 years with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics, telecom, apps, ads, gaming, media and entertainment, or technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience with agreement negotiations or managing legal agreements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience navigating legal agreements.
  • Experience managing partnerships.
  • Experience navigating cross-functional internal work.
  • Excellent influencing skills, with a track record of securing favorable terms and building consensus.

About the Job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you will open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions, and evaluate/develop business opportunities for our TV ecosystem. You will lead cross‑functional teams, provide thought leadership, and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You will be comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to executive management. You will work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal, and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the execution of strategic TV partnerships, identifying and prioritizing opportunities that drive significant business growth.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with key content partners, serving as a trusted advisor and ensuring alignment on strategic objectives.
  • Discuss and structure TV partnership agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Oversee the integration and implementation of TV partnerships, collaborating with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Play, Marketing, Legal) to ensure successful launch and ongoing operations.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $177,000–$256,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, and location, and is influenced by job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
