SkyBridge Luxury & Associates is partnering with a highly regarded full-service hospitality property in the greater Los Angeles area to identify an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the hotel’s overall commercial strategy and revenue performance.
This is a hands‑on selling leadership role responsible for driving group, transient, and catering business while actively prospecting, developing key accounts, and securing meetings, conventions, corporate business, and social events. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic vision and a strong sales presence with the ability to lead from the front.
The Director of Sales & Marketing will play a critical role in shaping overall market positioning, driving revenue growth, and fostering a high‑performance sales culture across the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team while fostering a collaborative and results‑oriented culture
- Personally prospect, manage, and close key business opportunities across group, corporate, and catering segments
- Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to maximize total hotel revenue
- Partner closely with Revenue Management, Catering, and Operations to drive overall commercial performance
- Oversee brand marketing initiatives, digital presence, and promotional campaigns
- Manage forecasting, budgeting, pace reporting, and overall sales performance metrics
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, travel partners, meeting planners, and key industry contacts
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hotel sales experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Proven success within group and conference‑driven hotel environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead while remaining actively engaged in direct sales efforts
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
- Experience within highly competitive major market environments is strongly preferred; San Francisco market experience is a significant plus
- Ability to thrive within a fast‑paced, high‑volume hospitality environment
