Position Overview
Relationship Manager – Business Banking, Charleston, South Carolina. This role focuses on growing a book of business through building and maintaining client relationships, delivering a full suite of PNC products and services, and driving revenue growth while managing risk.
Job Responsibilities
Handle relationship management activities with new and existing clients to grow sales, revenue, and market share.
Acquire, expand, and retain client relationships to generate revenue and deepen share of wallet.
Originate, perform financial analysis, negotiate, and document credit and non‑credit products and services.
Manage risk/return and drive quality for new and existing clients, actively identifying and mitigating regulatory, reputational, operational, and credit risks.
Provide ideas and insights based on the client’s needs and financial well‑being to increase engagement and loyalty.
Build and leverage an internal and external network, including community and industry relationships, to acquire new clients and expand existing ones.
Present the full range of PNC products and services, using reporting and sales tools to identify and convert sales opportunities.
Qualifications
Successful candidates must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role.
University or college degree.
Minimum 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
Strong client relationship building and business‑acumen skills.
Proficiency in credit analysis and knowledge of credit products.
Effective communication, prospecting, and sales skills.
Tech savvy and comfortable using reporting and sales tools.
Experience managing risk and ensuring quality across client engagements.
