Vice President, Revenue – Position Overview
Responsibilities
- Create and execute channel marketing and revenue opportunities across all applicable commercial partners.
- Analyze P&L associated with data-driven strategies and implement potential new revenue opportunities.
- In conjunction with Finance, oversee and manage budgets.
- Maintain strong relationships and liaise with internal departments such as Artists & Repertoire, marketing, production, publicity, radio promotion, and Commercial Services.
- Support department heads within the label and contribute to all label sales and marketing strategic initiatives for releases.
- Strategically plan releases, incorporating playlisting ideas, trends, and best practices for Lost Highway and Capitol Nashville.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with the top commercial partners for revenue building, including Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, Apple, Pandora, and other major streaming platforms.
- Manage physical release priorities, timing, volume, and deliver accurate projections.
- Build a strategic Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) approach for each artist campaign, emphasizing superfan development and ecosystem connectivity.
- Lead a team of four account directors and three coordinators, ensuring alignment on goal achievement.
- Select, onboard, and develop talent within the revenue team.
- Maintain relationships with physical retail partners, with a special focus on independent retail and developing artist programs.
- Communicate analytical insights to drive both internal and external revenue initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands‑on streaming experience with major accounts (Amazon, Apple, Pandora, Spotify, YouTube).
- Strong understanding of data analysis and ability to apply results to revenue strategy.
- Business acumen, results‑oriented mindset, and strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Proven leadership and management experience, managing a team of at least seven individuals.
- Sales and budgeting experience with a solid grasp of P&Ls.
- Knowledge of music‑industry information systems such as SoundScan.
- Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and people‑management skills.
- Ability to operate collaboratively in high‑pressure environments.
