Senior Social Media Specialist - xstocks

Kraken · Poland, NY, USA ·

Job type:
Full Time

About the Role
We’re looking for someone to own and scale social + community for xStocks globally. This role sits somewhere between product marketing, community, and culture. You’ll work closely with PMMs, partners, and regional teams to turn a complex product into content people actually understand — and want to engage with. This is primarily a B2C role, but you’ll need to stay aware of ecosystem and partner context. If you’re someone who understands crypto culture, has good market instincts, and knows how to turn that into content and growth – this is probably for you.

Responsibilities

Own xStocks social channels end-to-end, with a focus on growing a global audience (crypto-native + mainstream)

Lead community management and growth. Not just responding, but creating participation loops and campaigns

Turn complex topics (tokenized equities, markets, infra) into clear, engaging content

Run social for launches and announcements, making sure things land and get understood

Work closely with product marketing, partnerships, and regional teams to stay aligned and amplify key moments

Drive both always‑on content and reactive content (markets, trends, cultural moments)

Coordinate localisation with regional teams (incl. CN/APAC)

Support partner amplification where needed (co‑marketing, reposts, etc.)

Build and manage a high‑signal community: balancing education, participation, and entertainment

Create content yourself when needed (copy + simple visuals). We move FAST

Experiment across formats: threads, short‑form, explainers, commentary, community‑driven content

Use social + community feedback to inform content and overall strategy

Own performance: reach, engagement, growth, retention, and keep improving it

Skills & Qualifications

5–8+ years in social/content roles (crypto, fintech, or consumer tech helps)

Strong understanding of how content actually performs on X, TikTok, IG. Not just how it looks but what audience likes to see and engage with

Good grasp of crypto + financial markets, and the ability to simplify them

Experience building and managing communities (bonus if you’ve worked with gamified systems like points/rewards)

Strong storytelling instincts. You know how to make things click

Able to create content end‑to‑end (writing + scrappy visuals when needed)

Comfortable working cross‑functionally and moving fast

Experience with localisation across markets is a plus

Data‑aware. You track what works and adjust quickly

Uses AI tools to move faster (not as a crutch, but as leverage)

Self‑directed, responsive, and comfortable in a high‑velocity environment

Actually plugged into crypto Twitter / market conversations
