POSITION SUMMARY

The sales and marketing manager develops, maintains, and grows the Crow River Winery brand by ensuring that events, products, and related communications are delivered with excellence - highlighting the quality of our products and embodying hospitality that leads to memorable experiences and celebrations. Key qualities include: adaptable, exceptionally organized, enjoys interacting with guests, and leads by example in advancing the Crow River Winery values and brand at the winery and beyond. This role works alongside our management team to ensure staff are equipped to deliver a clear brand and event experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, drive, and lead event and wedding sales that result in business growth.
Plan and manage all events, weddings, and Crow River Winery signature events.
Meet with and communicate directly with the customer throughout the event planning process to learn requirements and goals - ensuring all parties understand relevant information and details.
Clearly communicate event details with management and Crow River Winery staff.
Perform post-event tasks promptly such as meeting with clients to ensure satisfaction & rebooking, reviewing invoices and bills, and documenting issues and resolutions.
Use our event and venue management application to track event details, payments, and progress.
Provide regular reporting and evaluation of sales leads, processes, and event execution.
Promptly respond to and follow-up with event leads.
Provide venue tours as booked.
Develop, oversee, and lead product wholesale sales
Build and maintain relationships with wholesale customers through consistent communication via email, phone, and in-person visits with wholesale customers/prospects.
Become a product expert and introduce opportunities to retail new and additional CRW products to prospective wholesale customers through product education and samples
Ensure wholesale customers are invoiced accurately and in a timely manner, monitoring accounts payable/accounts receivable and taking appropriate follow-up steps when payments are past due.
Oversee Crow River Winery signature events by setting the annual calendar and managing planning, execution, and post-event evaluation to grow sales and brand awareness/loyalty.
Plan and execute marketing strategies.
Develop strategies and manage marketing campaigns across print, broadcast, and online platforms to ensure that products and services meet clients' expectations and build the credibility of the CRW brand.
Evaluate the success of marketing campaigns to improve outcomes and grow impact.
Oversee social media and website communications.
Brand management
Develop and oversee all label and package design to stay relevant with industry trends and to maintain clear, strong brand.
Oversee advertising, product design, and related forms of marketing to maintain brand consistency
Oversee budget, financial forecasting, cost control, revenue generation, and overall profit and loss for events, advertising, marketing, and wholesale product sales.
Support and/or identify staff training needs to ensure brand clarity, product expertise, and event success.
Manage and/or oversee staff when and where any of the above is delegated to others on the team
Provide back-up coverage as necessary to support event success
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Exceptional customer service skills with a guest-focused mindset
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; attention to detail
Ability to maintain a positive working environment and foster teamwork among staff members and across departments
Knowledge of in beer, wine, and spirits
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays
Demonstrated leadership experience in food or beverage service
Must be able to multi-task and abide by deadlines
REQUIRED

Must be available and willing to work on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Ability to stand on one's feet for extended periods of time
Ability to lift or carry 30 pounds.
High School Diploma
4+ years related marketing and sales experience
2+ years related leadership experience
Valid Driver's License
Strong proficiency using MS Word, and Excel
