The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for the daily contact between JACKSON and their assigned account client(s). The AE is responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of timely, accurate and high-quality work. The AE interfaces with all service groups within the company, on behalf of the client to move client’s work through to successful completion. The AE meets with service group managers and project team members to direct and manage each project. The AE is expected to have total ownership of all aspects of his/her accounts and projects. The Account Executive must be available for travel and is expected to work beyond a normal 40 hours/week as needed. Self-sufficiency, a loyal team mindset, a can-do attitude and great relational skills are some of the key personality traits that the perfect candidate for this role would possess . This position will focus on clients in the motorsports/automotive space so experience in that area is required.
General Purpose
Day-to-day client contact, relationship building, strategic project management and internal advocate of the client’s brand and proactive problem resolution.
Essential Functions
Client Relationship and Growth
Develops knowledge and actively seeks current information about client’s industry, organizational structure, products, services, markets and distribution network
Continually develops and cultivates client relationships while monitoring the health of each account
Identifies and helps address client issues/concerns on a timely basis
Proactively presents ways to add value to all client-specified assignments
Ensures client communication is timely and meets the needs of the client (call backs, contact reports, etc.)
Stays informed of client’s industries and competitors
Attends races or other motorsport related activations (as applicable)
Attends business conferences and/or trade shows, visits sales reps/dealers in the field (as applicable)
Fiduciary Responsibilities
Assumes and manages fiscal responsibility for client budgets allocated to the company
Monitors job costs and grows overall account profitability
Provides forecasts for each client per requirements of the company
Assures that quotes and revised quotes are completed and entered into all jobs
Executes and delivers client invoices per company-directed timeframe
Enter record of billable time within 3 days into JACKSON's accounting software
Execution of Plans and Projects
Oversees all project management and day-to-day activities for assigned clients
Engages clients for input and approval at key stages for plans, concepts, copy, layouts, etc.
Helps prepare and present annual plans and scopes of work
Develops strategies for and manages all project work that supports and ties to annual plans and overall brand positioning and key messaging
Identifies, develops and presents new solutions to enhance clients marketing efforts
Requirements
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Required
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, journalism, or related field, and/or commiserate experience
Required 5+ years of account service or project management experience, ideally at a marketing agency
Experience in motorsports/automotive space
Prior experience managing creative content, digital projects, public relations, social media and/or event projects
The ability to manage timelines & budgets for multi-channel strategies/projects with prioritization management across multiple clients
Excellent, proactive interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Strong writing, editing and comprehension skills as well as a general knowledge of marketing language.
Desire to expand knowledge and capabilities, not only relating to Account Management, but also regarding industry trends, creative processes, and strategic thinking.
Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects across a variety of industries effectively
Strong time management, organizational and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
Reliable and responsible, able to follow direction and work with minimal supervision
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and large group situations to clients and other associates of the organization
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to problem solve and think critically– using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Proactive, resourceful, quick learner, multi-tasker, strong team player, who works efficiently under stress.

Preferred
Prior agency experience
5+ years of experience in motorsports and/or automotive OEM marketing
Supervisory Responsibilities
Account Coordinator and/or Account Representative(s) as assigned
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the Associate is occasionally required to move about the office, use computers, phone, video conferencing and other general office equipment. The Associate must occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. The Associate may be required to traverse conference/event centers and office environments which may require walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills; operate standard office equipment, carry laptop, cameras, phones, etc; talk and hear.
While performing the duties of this position in-office the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as JACKSON is a highly collaborative company.
