The Sandhills Bogeys, proud members of the Old North State League, are a summer collegiate baseball team based in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

We are seeking a dynamic and articulate PA Announcer Intern to be the voice of our games and enhance the fan experience.
This is an incredible opportunity for aspiring broadcasters and sports professionals to gain hands‑on live event experience.

A clear, articulate, and engaging speaking voice

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, live game environment

Enthusiasm for baseball and a passion for creating an exciting fan experience

Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic

Willingness to learn, take direction, and contribute to a team atmosphere

Prior experience with public speaking or broadcasting is a plus, but not required

Here’s what you could be doing:

Serve as the primary public address announcer for all Sandhills Bogeys home games

Announce starting lineups, batter walk‑ups, pitching changes, scoring plays, and other in‑game events

Deliver pre‑game, in‑game, and post‑game promotional announcements and sponsor reads

Work closely with the game day operations and entertainment staff to ensure seamless game flow

Ensure accurate and timely delivery of information to fans and staff

Operate the public address system and associated audio equipment

Maintain a professional and engaging presence throughout game events

Assist with other game day duties as needed to support the overall fan experience

Summer internships typically begin in May and conclude in August. This is an unpaid position, and interns are strongly encouraged to seek college credit for their participation.
