Position Overview
The Marketing and Branding Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Nassau Candy’s brand, product, and marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Brand Strategy, this position partners cross‑functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, Production, and external suppliers to support go‑to‑market execution across in‑house brands, seasonal programs, and distributed products.
This is a highly collaborative, deadline‑driven role ideal for a detail‑oriented, organized professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments and enjoys managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Brand, Marketing & Product Development
Observe, analyze, and report on market, consumer, and competitor trends
Research trends and competitors for innovation concepts and flavor profile introductions
Support creative ideation, product naming, and product copy development
Assist in managing product development from initial concept through final production while adhering to launch calendars
Partner with leadership to help establish and maintain brand guidelines, metrics, and standards
Marketing Calendar & Launch Management
Maintain full ownership of the marketing calendar, including timelines, milestones, and deadline management
Provide go‑to‑market launch support for in‑house branded products, seasonal assortments, and distributed items
Support digital launches and development of sell sheets and launch materials for the sales team
Cross‑Functional & Merchant Collaboration
Serve as a primary point of contact with the merchant team for sample requests and in‑stock availability for email and promotional announcements
Own Jotform processes related to marketing, sampling, and internal requests
Act as a liaison across departments to ensure deadlines are met for both seasonal and everyday assortments
Item & Catalog Management
Oversee timely completion of all item setup and maintenance on the company website, including product descriptions, photography, SEO optimization, meta descriptions, and product attributes
Ensure timely launch of seasonal catalogs by coordinating between merchants and the digital marketing team
Manage samples, SKU lists for landing pages, and completion of copy and metadata for seasonal programs
Tradeshow, Presentation & Media Support
Assist in planning and execution of the tradeshow program, including Gourmet Food and Sweets & Snacks trade shows
Support creation of new business presentations and coordinate samples as needed
Assist in writing and coordinating press releases for company news and product launches, including sampling when required
Creative & Production Coordination
Serve as a liaison with the creative team to execute brand vision across packaging and marketing materials
Coordinate artwork execution with proper die lines, fills, and production requirements
Project & Account Support
Maintain organization of development timelines, documentation, and approvals
Support reporting and tracking related to product launches and brand initiatives
Assist on select key accounts as needed
Ensure accuracy, follow‑through, and brand alignment across all assigned projects
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of product development, process development, or related experience in CPG or a similar field.
Experience with retail merchandising, marketing, and/or social media.
Strong interest in trend research and competitive analysis.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical, research, and computer skills.
Effective communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation).
Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, high‑performing environment.
Food & Beverage industry experience strongly preferred.
