Join our Events Sales team as a Business Development Manager, supporting the growth of events for legal professionals and organizations.

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: New York

Compensation: $80,000 / year

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the Content Lead and Sales Managers, you will help to devise and execute the go-to-market plan for your dedicated events;

Generating new business through research using our extensive sister products, client communication and follow-up;

Selling sponsorship for allocated events;

Learning more about the brand through reading our news services in order to offer tailored products to both new and existing clients;

Developing and maintaining contact with potential clients via email, telephone communication and face-to-face meetings;

Creating and implementing a sales plan for products to meet sales targets;

Pitching to clients and leads in a bespoke manner, ensuring that you always provide a high level of customer service.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Minimum of 1-3 years of sales experience, event sales experience in legal is ideal

Excellent negotiation and communication skills, in particular a highly professional telephone manner.

An aptitude for working towards targets and deadlines and devising a personal strategy to hit and exceed them

Strong organisational skills

Highly motivated individual able to work independently and as part of a team

Experience of using a CRM system - preference for Salesforce

Previous experience selling within the legal or professional services market is desirable, but not essential
