Position Overview

Board Operator – responsible for operating broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre‑recorded shows, ensuring sound quality, compliance with FCC regulations, and smooth transitions.
Responsibilities

Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre‑recorded shows.
Monitor on‑air programming for quality, timing, and FCC compliance.
Coordinate with talent, producers, and traffic teams for smooth transitions and accurate commercial placement.
Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and elevate as needed.
Record, edit, and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
Support remote broadcasts and live events as required.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework a plus.
Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with broadcast equipment and automation systems (e.g., NexGen, Adobe Audition).
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
Availability for flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly pay: $17.65 – $20.00, determined by experience, skills, and market data.
Location: Rockville, MD – 1801 Rockville Pike, 4th Floor, 20852.
