Job Title
Logistics Coordinator

Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator supports day-to-day logistics operations by managing shipments, tracking inventory movements, processing freight invoices, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role plays an important part in supporting job site and warehouse logistics while ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials. The Logistics Coordinator collaborates with internal teams and external carriers to help maintain an efficient and organized supply chain.

Responsibilities
Shipment Coordination & Tracking

Schedule inbound and outbound shipments to and from job sites and local or company warehouses

Monitor delivery schedules, track shipment progress, and communicate status updates as needed

Coordinate with warehouse and job site staff to ensure smooth handoff and receipt of materials

Coordinate local pickups and plant and warehouse trailer moves.

Assist in loading and unloading semi trailers using a forklift.

Inventory Movement & Documentation

Record inventory transactions related to product movement between locations

Maintain up-to-date documentation for shipments, including packing slips, bills of lading, and freight records

Support regular cycle counts and physical inventory activities as required

Invoice Processing & Reconciliation

Review and code freight invoices; identify discrepancies and coordinate resolution with carriers or vendors

Submit freight invoices for approval in accordance with internal processes

Administrative Support & Communication

Prepare and maintain accurate records for audits and reporting

Communicate with warehouse teams, job site contacts, and external carriers to resolve issues and confirm logistics details

Support purchasing and warehouse teams with logistics‑related data entry and documentation

Order pallets, packaging and supplies

Continuous Improvement & Other Duties

Contribute to process improvements in shipping and in warehouse procedures, and documentation practices

Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned to support the logistics team

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in business, logistics, or supply chain is a plus

1–3 years of experience in logistics, shipping, inventory, or administrative office support preferred

Familiarity with freight processes, shipping documentation, and basic supply chain workflows

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook; experience with ERP or logistics software is a plus

Strong organizational and time‑management skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Effective communicator with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment

Must be willing to drive to the warehouse or work in that location as needed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and loud machinery. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

FLSA Status:

Non-Exempt

The base salary range for this full‑time position is $21‑$27. Within this range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant work experience, job‑related knowledge, skills, and complexity of the role.
