Brand Manager – Consumer Health & Lifestyle Products

Hybrid 3 days in office in Northern NJ


About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Brand Manager to help drive growth across a portfolio of consumer-focused health and wellness products. This individual will play a key role in shaping brand strategy, leading cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring successful execution across marketing, innovation, and commercial channels.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Business Management

  • Lead the strategic direction and business performance of assigned product categories and brands
  • Develop annual business plans informed by consumer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, and category dynamics
  • Partner with senior leadership to establish growth objectives, performance metrics, and investment priorities
  • Support brand-building initiatives across multiple consumer touchpoints, including paid media, public relations, retail marketing, partnerships, and digital channels


Product Innovation & Portfolio Development

  • Identify opportunities for product enhancements, line extensions, packaging updates, and new product introductions
  • Partner closely with Innovation, Research & Development, Regulatory, Operations, and Creative teams throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Evaluate market opportunities using consumer feedback, business data, and category insights to strengthen product positioning and claims
  • Support commercialization efforts and integrated go-to-market planning for new product launches


Integrated Marketing & Go-to-Market Execution

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans across retail, eCommerce, and other distribution channels
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Sales teams to align brand strategy with promotional planning, pricing strategy, merchandising, and retail activation
  • Create clear creative briefs and manage external agency partners to ensure high-quality execution
  • Maintain consistency in brand messaging, visual identity, and consumer experience across all channels


Performance Analysis & Business Insights

  • Monitor key business indicators, including sales performance, competitive activity, marketing effectiveness, and consumer trends
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations that support business growth and informed decision-making
  • Develop presentations and business reviews for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Assist in budget management, forecasting, and financial analysis related to brand investments


Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Coordinate efforts across Marketing, Sales, eCommerce, Operations, Finance, Consumer Insights, and Creative teams
  • Drive alignment among stakeholders while ensuring projects remain on schedule and objectives are met
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and sound judgment in a fast-moving business environment



Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in brand management ideally in CPG, health and wellness, beauty, personal care, nutrition, or adjacent consumer industries
  • Proven success leading product launches, integrated marketing programs, and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data and develop strategic recommendations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience developing briefs, business cases, and executive-level materials
  • Ability to work independently while effectively influencing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Experience leveraging syndicated data and consumer research platforms such as Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, Ipsos, Zappi, or similar tools is preferred
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment with evolving priorities



Target Compensation: $105 - 150k base + bonus
