JOB SUMMARYThe Marketing Director is an enthusiastic professional who is a highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of Lone Star National Bank’s marketing initiatives, brand management, and community engagement efforts. This role leads all aspects of marketing operations, including advertising, digital marketing, public relations, and event planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, growth strategies, and regulatory requirements.ESSENTIAL DUTIESThe duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties, as assigned, including cross training across other departments, as necessary.Marketing Strategy & ExecutionDevelop, implement, and manage comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns for all the bank’s lines of business, i.e., loans, deposits, wealth, insurance, treasury management, merchant services, etc., including short- and long-term plans to support growth and revenue objectivesPlan, oversee and evaluate marketing campaigns across print, digital, social media, email, and direct mail channelsMaintain and strengthen brand standards and ensure consistency across all communicationsConduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trendsManage and administer the marketing budget to maximize ROIPrepare and present marketing performance reports and analytics to executive leadershipDigital Marketing & CommunicationsManage and oversee website content, online presence, and digital advertising strategiesManage social media platforms and email marketing campaignsEnsure messaging is accurate, compliant, and aligned with brand voiceCoordinate internal communications and marketing support for all business linesVendor & Agency ManagementManage new and existing vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreementsServe as liaison with advertising agencies, designers, and media partnersNegotiate terms and ensure deliverables meet quality and compliance standardsEvent Planning & Community EngagementPlan, coordinate, and execute bank-sponsored events, including:Grand openingsClient appreciation eventsFinancial education seminarsCommunity outreach initiativesOversee all event logistics (venue, vendors, scheduling, staffing, materials)Act as primary onsite coordinator for key eventsDevelop partnerships with community organizations, chambers, and nonprofitsTrack and report event outcomes and community engagement metricsLeadership & Staff ManagementManage, coach, and evaluate marketing department direct reportsProvide direction, training, and performance feedbackSupport cross-functional collaboration with other departmentsCompliance, Risk & Regulatory ResponsibilitiesEnsure all marketing materials, promotional items and activities comply with:FDIC and applicable federal/state regulationsBSA/AML/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP requirementsMaintain knowledge of banking compliance requirements related to marketing and advertisingEnsure adherence to internal audit controls, policies, and risk management proceduresMonitor and report suspicious or unusual activity in accordance with Bank policiesTraining & Organizational ParticipationParticipate in required training, including compliance and regulatory programsSupport employee engagement and Bank-wide initiativesPromote and participate in community involvement activities aligned with the Bank’s missionParticipates in job specific training and other various Bank training programs, as necessaryMaintains current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy, and ensures adherence by the respective department personnelMaintains current knowledge and complies with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations, and ensures adherence by the respective department personnelMaintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML, and ensures adherence by the respective department personnelQUALIFICATIONSThese specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.A self-starting team player who possesses a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related discipline (master’s degree in marketing is preferred)7-10 years of Marketing experience, preferably in financial services or a large financial institution with multiple locations and different marketsStrong knowledge of marketing strategy, branding, and digital marketingExperience managing multiple projects and campaigns simultaneouslyExcellent communication, organizational, and professional leadership skillsFamiliarity with banking regulatory requirements related to marketing preferredPC literacy and knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing softwareDemonstrated customer and human relation skills in previous positionsFlexibility, professionalism, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform a variety of tasks with numerous interruptionsAbility to work after hours and weekends as necessaryAttention to detail and a high degree of mental concentration as well as the ability to multi-taskExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skillsBilingual in English and Spanish is desiredORGANIZATIONThis position reports to the Bank PresidentThis position oversees the Graphic Designer, Videographer, Social Media Coordinator, Community Outreach Coordinator, Marketing Department Assistant, and MascotsTRAINING REQUIREMENTSAll employees are required to attend scheduled mandatory trainings and complete online regulatory compliance training courses applicable to their specific job function. In all situations, employees must ensure that their actions fully comply with all federal banking laws and regulations, including internal bank policies and procedures.
