Applications Engineer – Midland, TX
We are looking for an Applications Engineer located in Midland, TX . This position will begin with ChampionX and transition to SLB as part of the planned integration.

What You Will Do

Develop technical proposals that integrate and implement the company’s products and services with customers’ existing systems.

Deliver sales presentations and respond to technical questions regarding the company’s products, systems, or services.

Estimate costs, resources, time, and technical requirements for modifying, configuring, and installing products to meet customer needs.

Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems design engineers to ensure products and services are modified, configured, and installed per customer needs.

Respond to customer questions and troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve technical problems that arise during or after implementation.

Train customers on the features of purchased products or services.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 2 years of experience.

Authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship offered.

Expertise providing technical advice during larger or difficult negotiations, or with strategically important customers.

Strong customer service skills including the ability to explain and train.

Ability to follow safety policies and encourage safe behavior.

Willingness to work over 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week as required.

Ability to work unsupervised and in an English‑speaking environment.

Physical Demands
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time. Ability to perform repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers to use a computer. Requires close visual acuity for data analysis and computer work.
