PHP Developer

We are seeking a PHP Developer to support the platform modernization effort for a healthcare payments system recently acquired by a major Client. The current monolithic application (written in PHP) is being decoupled and transitioned to a microservices architecture, with future development planned in GoLang. This role requires hands-on PHP coding skills, a strong grasp of design patterns, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions within a regulated healthcare environment. You will be an integral part of the modernization team, contributing to core architectural decisions, guiding junior developers, and building secure, efficient, and scalable code.Job Responsibilities:Collaborate in re-architecting a monolithic healthcare payment platform into microservicesWork independently on developing, maintaining, and enhancing state-of-the-art applicationsWrite scalable, robust, testable, and maintainable PHP codeBuild automated unit and integration testsIntegrate third-party APIs and external systems such as Cerner and EpicConduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and maintain coding standardsCollaborate with DevOps to implement best practices in CI/CD and deploymentWork closely with customer support to resolve complex production issueMaintain strong documentation for all software artifacts and processesEnsure development aligns with compliance, coding, and security standardsDefine and lead continuous improvements in software delivery and development practicesCommunicate with product owners to refine requirements and deliverablesRequired Skills: Strong hands-on experience with core PHP development (not focused on frameworks)Deep understanding of design patterns, principles, and architecture best practicesExperience building microservices architecturesProven ability to build scalable and secure applicationsStrong background in building and maintaining unit and integration test suitesExperience with API development and third-party integrationsFamiliarity with version control tools like GitComfortable working in Agile/Scrum development environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Skills: Experience with GoLang or willingness to learnPrevious experience in healthcare or payment platformsFamiliarity with HIPAA and other compliance standardsExperience working with DevOps teams and CI/CD pipelinesBackground in mentoring or leading small engineering teamsCertifications: [Optional – list any PHP or development-related certifications if applicable]Education:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)Email ID * This field is required Please enter valid emailId.Cell phone * This field is required Please enter valid cell phone.First Name * This field is required Please enter valid first name.Last Name * This field is required Please enter valid last name.#J-18808-Ljbffr
