Corporate Solicitor

Location: Aberdeen, Edinburgh or GlasgowPosition Type: Full-time/PermanentAberdein Considine are looking for a dynamic and driven Solicitor to join our Corporate Department in either our Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow offices. The successful candidate will develop a client base through providing good service to new clients to the Firm and by introducing personal and or business connections to the Firm.Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting senior colleagues with a wide variety of transactions and matters including M&A and corporate work, commercial contracts and general ongoing legal advice to businesses, owners, investors and management teamsAssisting in reviewing, drafting and reporting on a variety of legal documents (with partner-led guidance and supervision as appropriate)Assisting in corporate transactions including dataroom set-up, undertaking / responding to due diligence enquiries and undertaking / reviewing disclosure aspects of a transaction, preparing and negotiating ancillary documents, managing documents checklists and assisting with completion meetings and completion processAttending to client communications, by meeting, email, phone and video conferencingUndertaking legal research to support transactions and projectsPreparing reports and advice notes to clients on company and business law and on the terms of legal documents or proposed transactionsAssisting with company secretarial mattersPromoting the Department and the Firm through Business DevelopmentQualificationsBachelor of Laws – LL.B Scots Law & Diploma in Legal PracticeSkills and ExperienceNQ – ideally some post qualification experience in a Corporate DepartmentKnowledgeKnowledge and experience of company law and corporate transactionsCommercial and business awarenessExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organisational skills and time managementAbility to swiftly analyse situations and solve problemsAbility to work on own initiativeEnthusiastic and hardworkingAdaptable and accommodatingExcellent attention to detailGood team player#J-18808-Ljbffr
