Director Of Business Development, Healthcare
The Director of Business Development, Healthcare oversees large national accounts and national sales programs for the Company's products and services. Ensures growth and expansion by developing new business while also maintaining existing accounts and increasing business based on approved budgetary requirements.
Essential duties and responsibilities include: prospecting and qualifying new customers to maintain a target list of not less than 25 qualified pipeline opportunities; providing input to management to respond to changing market conditions, to improve internal efficiency and maximize results; maintaining strong professional relationships with existing customers; anticipating or identifying evolving customer needs; assisting in overseas campaigns and overseas visitors' requirements; supporting and assisting in the attainment of company goals and objectives aligned with the Hellmann Sales Strategy; ensuring all bids are submitted in a timely manner to Tender Management for proper completion; preparing client quotations and presentation of proposals; maintaining client records and commercial activity with complete and timely entry of information into the Hellmann customer relationship management "CRM" system; updating CRM with activities as per company guidelines; managing approximately 25 target customers; traveling as required; serving as liaison between customer and operational staff; and performing other duties as assigned.
This position does not supervise any direct reports.
Qualifications to perform this job successfully include a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Logistics/Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience; a minimum of 10 years related experience in sales, marketing, and customer service; a proven track record of increasing sales year over year; a minimum of six years sales experience in freight forwarding; and proficient knowledge of all Hellmann products, and Partner network.
Knowledge, skills, and attributes include financial acumen, results-oriented drive, leadership, customer focus, organization skills, time management and prioritization, adaptability, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to calculate figures and amounts, analytical skills, advanced sales, negotiation, and presentation skills, advanced communication skills, and proficiency in world geography, import/export documentation, and Incoterms.
Physical demands include frequently standing and walking, regularly sitting for extended periods, regularly using arms to reach, hands and fingers for computer and phone use, speaking clearly and listening for heavy phone contact, close-up and computer screen distance vision ability, and occasional overnight travel.
The work environment is similar to that of an office setting with various office equipment.
