Responsibilities
This position is responsible for coordinating the Center for Global Engagement's Special Programs with internship at Walt Disney World Resort, to include program admission processes, program planning and implementation, and academic support. CGE Special Programs is a large-scale auxiliary program, with approximately 160 students from 10 international partner universities who attend a 10-day intensive on campus program at FSU in the summer, followed by a 6-month internship at Walt Disney World Resort.
Develop 10‑day session schedules to include required academic and non‑academic components. Reserve housing, meals, Leach Center memberships, classrooms, and local and in‑state charter and van transportation. Provide rotational coverage for other staff members during summer program and assist with providing support to students as needed.
Compare pricing on program supplies for summer program to include bedding, pillows, towels, textbooks, office supplies, etc. and make purchases within budget. Receive and inventory purchases and maintain program supply inventory. Administer petty cash fund following FSU cash handling procedures and close out fund at end of summer. Make travel arrangements to Walt Disney World Resort for multiple drop‑offs in summer and monthly trips for classes.
Assist with student application process, generate the non‑degree student applications, and register the students' FSUIDs. Guide students through the FSU health compliance process and troubleshoot FSU card application issues. Set up electronic sign‑up process for annual student interviews as part of the application process, as well as social events and activities as needed. Provide support for student staff training process and Peer Mentor program.
Provide support for registering students for fall semester courses according to their assigned program tracks. Assist with grading student assignments and discussion posts during fall semester coursework. Reserve classrooms at Walt Disney World Resort for monthly class sessions. Request official FSU transcripts and send to partner universities at the end of the program.
Attend all major CGE and Division of Student Affairs events, serve on CGE or DSA committees, assist with special projects, and perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Master's degree and two years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience living, working, or studying abroad
Experience providing academic and student program support
Excellent people skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Other Information
The Center for Global Engagement supports FSU’s internationalization efforts by providing services and support to the international students and scholars on F‑1 and J‑1 visas to ensure FSU compliance with federal immigration law; as well as offering a variety of educational and social programs open to all FSU students.
Twenty full‑time CGE staff and 25 student staff members provide immigration support for over 2,500 international students from 120 countries and over 150 visiting scholars per year, manage 45 bilateral exchange agreements, provide a variety of programs and workshops, and also manage the Special Programs for non‑degree students from international partner universities with academic training/internships at Walt Disney World Resort.

Anticipated Salary Range
Starting at $45,050, commensurate with education and experience.
