Job Title: Junior DesignerDepartment: Product Development / DesignReports To: Head of DesignOn-siteFull-time; 5 days/Week; M-F; 8am-4pmLocationDallas, TX 75247Job SummaryThe Junior Designerwill assist the VP of Design and Design Department in creating design assets, CADs, trend research, creating development tech packs, preparing presentations, managing print and color selections, maintaining design and material libraries, organizing development assets and general departmental support.Key ResponsibilitiesOwnership of design notes and print/color adjustments during fittingsResponsible for CAD creation for both garments and Print ArtworkOversee Colorways and Color StandardsDocument design and color correctionsSupport updates to cover sheets with design changes, print, trim and color correctionsOrganize and keep track of strike offs and color standardsSupport quality and fit consistency during production handoff when neededSpec garments and help with Tech PacksTrend and print researchProduce flat sketches and 2D renderingsMaintain color, swatch and design reference librariesMaintain Design BoardsKeep line sheets and development images/CADs up to dateQualificationsAssociate's or bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Apparel Production, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Must be proficient in Adobe Suite, Excel, Presentation ProgramsBasic understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and sewing techniquesFamiliarity with fit terminology and apparel measurement standardsUnderstanding of contemporary fashion market and trendsSkills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and measurement accuracyHighly organized and good with time managementAbility to work on multiple projects at a timeAbility to quickly absorb and apply brand-specific aesthetic standardsComfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentsStrong organizational and documentation skillsBasic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google sheets, and familiarity with PLM systems is a plusProficiency in Adobe Suite is requiredProfessional communication skills for working with internal teams and external vendorsAbility to take directionPassion for fashion and interest in current market trendsPreferred (Nice to Have)Experience with line sheets and line plansKnowledge of production process and fitExposure to domestic and offshore vendor communicationExperience with seasonal design presentations
