SUMMARY
Responsible for providing a wide variety of supervisor support services in support of the Insuractive's business unit employees to promote the company's product portfolio and increase company revenue and profit; and work collaboratively with the Vice President, Insuractive in a variety of sales supervisory/management functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Management & Agency Development:
Work collaboratively with the Vice President, Insuractive in a variety of sales management functions, including daily coaching and mentoring of Licensed Agents and direct report Supervisors; daily monitoring of Licensed Agent phone calls; assisting Supervisors in developing their staffs and the agency; providing oversight and mentorship; establishing sales results, marketing campaigns, and initiatives; and ensuring division performance measures are met and/or exceeded.
Supervision:
Direct supervision of Insuractive Licensed Agents and Supervisors, including work assignment, performance appraisal, annual reviews, scheduling, new hire orientation and training; providing policy and operational leadership; advising on continuing education and certification requirements.
Program Operations/Administration:
Coordination, facilitation and management of special projects required of insurance carriers and business partners; development of business plans and coordination of action steps; management of key internal and external partner relationships; development of Critical Success Indicators (CSIs) for departmental initiatives.
General Management:
Collaboration with senior staff to advance the values and mission of Insuractive and Senior Market Sales, providing strategic, policy and operational leadership; handling sales calls as needed; and managing day‑to‑day facilities issues for off‑site locations.
Agent Support Functions:
Promotion of the company’s product portfolio; facilitation and participation in the implementation of special campaigns; direct supervision of assigned Insuractive Licensed Agents and Supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field
Five (5) or more years management/supervisory experience
Experience in Life and Health Insurance as well as Medicare
Prior customer service, call center or insurance sales supervisory experience
Strong verbal and written proficiencies in English; bilingual Spanish and English preferred
Life and Health licensed or the ability to obtain a license within 90 days of employment
Skills
Active Life and Health Insurance license in resident state or the ability to obtain one within 90 days
Knowledge of insurance services industries and current product lines
Understanding of industry practices, terminology, and regulations
Knowledge of business processing functions, accounting practices, systems, technology, and regulatory compliance
Experience in program and project management with quality assurance and satisfaction measurement
Proficient supervisory techniques for instruction, motivation, and training
Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution skills
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook)
Excellent time‑management, organization, and multitasking abilities
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to adapt communication style to diverse audiences
Self‑starter, motivated, and capable of working independently while contributing to team efforts
