Summary
Responsible for providing a wide variety of supervisor support services in support of the Insuractive business unit employees to promote the company's product portfolio and increase company revenue and profit; and work collaboratively with the Vice President, Insuractive in a variety of sales supervisory/management functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Management & Agency Development
Work collaboratively with the Vice President, Insuractive in a variety of sales management functions including daily coaching and mentoring of Licensed Agents and direct report Supervisors; daily monitoring of Licensed Agent phone calls from their respective desks as well as silent monitoring. Assist Supervisors in developing staff and agency performance, provide mentorship, establish clear sales goals, and create marketing campaigns to drive results. Monitor performance metrics such as ACD, call abandonment, active rate, average talk time, applications sent, and sales completed. Oversee lead program—forecasting, budgeting, procedures, distribution, and improvement measures. Ensure compliance with approved sales practices and continuous improvement of agent efficiency.
Supervision
Direct supervision of Insuractive Licensed Agents and Supervisors. Responsibilities include assigning/checking work, planning and appraising job results, conducting annual performance reviews, coordinating scheduling, new hire orientation and training, and providing policy and operational leadership. Advise and support Licensed Agents on continuing education and certification requirements.
Program Operations/Administration
Coordinate and manage special projects required by insurance carriers and business partners, develop business plans, and manage action steps of multiple stakeholders. Facilitate business relationships with internal partners and external vendors; present at internal and external meetings; assist in developing Critical Success Indicators (CSIs) for key departmental initiatives.
General Management
Collaborate with senior staff to advance Insuractive and Senior Market Sales values and mission, provide strategic, policy, and operational leadership, and handle sales calls as needed. If supervising a location outside Omaha, Nebraska, manage day‑to‑day facility issues and maintenance for the off‑site office.
Agent Support Functions
Assist in promoting the company's product portfolio and support designated insurance products. Coordinate and participate in the implementation of special campaigns and tasks as assigned. Directly supervise assigned Insuractive Licensed Agents and Supervisors.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field
Five (5) or more years management/supervisory experience
Life and Health Insurance as well as Medicare experience
Prior Customer Service, Call Center or Insurance Sales supervisory experience
Strong verbal and written proficiencies in English and bilingual (Spanish and English)
Life and Health licensed or the ability to obtain a license within 90 days of employment
Skills
Active Life and Health Insurance license in resident state or ability to obtain one within 90 days
Working knowledge of insurance services industries and product lines assigned to Licensed Agents
Knowledge of general industry procedures, practices and terminology
Knowledge of insurance product lines
Knowledge of insurance accounting practices, systems, technology and related regulations
Knowledge of program and project management, quality assurance, and satisfaction measurement
Knowledge of supervisory techniques for instruction, motivation and training
Skill to supervise, motivate and train personnel
Skill in working effectively with company departments, internal marketing staff, home office personnel and agents
Skill in working effectively with inbound and outbound callers/customers
Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve conflicts
Skill in using office equipment (computer, fax, printer, telephone system, etc.)
Skill in time management and organization
Skill in maintaining effective relationships with customers, employees, and the public
Skill in project management
Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, MS Outlook
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, constructively
Ability to engage a wide range of personalities professionally and courteously
Ability to remain patient under frustration and demonstrate controlled emotional affect
Ability to persuade when appropriate
Ability to maintain high organization and attention to detail while remaining flexible with multiple urgent requests
Ability to read, write and communicate English effectively
