Job Description
The Page Six video team is seeking a Lead Video Editor who will help us create compelling, shareable videos about celebrities, fashion, and other subjects that are the mainstay of the nation’s most iconic gossip column.
Responsibilities
Lead the editing and post‑production of high‑priority Page Six video series, branded content and celebrity‑focused digital features optimized for social and web platforms.
Supervise and mentor video editors by providing creative direction, workflow guidance, troubleshooting support and overall quality control in a fast‑paced newsroom environment.
Edit compelling, digitally native videos using original footage, stock assets and social media content while maintaining Page Six’s signature voice, tone and style.
Collaborate with producers, creative leadership and production management to develop graphics packages, thumbnails, sizzle reels, and promotional assets that drive audience engagement and click‑through rates.
Pitch timely celebrity, fashion and entertainment video concepts daily and contribute innovative storytelling ideas aligned with trending topics and audience interests.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines, ensuring efficient turnaround, media organization, backups and adherence to production schedules.
Apply advanced post‑production techniques including color correction, audio mixing, multi‑cam editing and vertical video formatting using Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
5–10 years experience editing celebrity videos for digital outlets.
Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro.
Knowledge of studio and control‑room operations.
Ability to color correct and mix audio.
Experience creating vertical videos for various social platforms.
Can work very quickly under pressure.
Pitch video ideas daily and contribute to team brainstorming.
Experience with multicam editing.
Motion graphics or simple animation experience is a plus.
Ability to select and use music to match the tone and style of the story.
Organized, works well in a fast‑paced environment and is a team‑player.
Can‑do attitude; someone who believes news doesn’t have to be boring.
Open to working evenings and weekends when required.
Experience working autonomously in a fast‑paced newsroom environment on weekly deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits
Base Pay Range: $100k – $120k.
