Social Media Specialist

We are seeking a creative, highly organized Social Media Specialist to support the execution of social media and digital marketing initiatives across multiple communities. This role partners closely with the Social Media Manager to bring strategies, content plans, and campaigns to life.
This position requires someone who can manage multiple priorities, work independently, and communicate effectively. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller who enjoys creating content and is willing to travel regularly to capture authentic experiences.
This is a hybrid role. This position will usually be in our communities 2 days a week and working remotely 3 days a week. This position is in the Omaha Metro area. Will consider Lincoln but Omaha is highly preferred.
What You'll Do

Social Media Execution
Execute social media strategies across multiple accounts
Schedule, publish, and monitor content using social media platforms
Support community social media needs
Serve as backup administrator for social media tools as needed
Content Creation & Storytelling
Travel regularly to capture photo and video content
Build relationships with team members, residents, and families to identify stories
Capture photos, videos, testimonials, and event content
Edit content for social media, websites, and campaigns
Organize and maintain content libraries
Collaborate with team members and interns on content creation
Recruiting & Paid Social
Create and execute recruiting campaigns on social media
Develop ad creative using Canva or similar tools
Assist with campaign setup, monitoring, and reporting
Support employer branding initiatives
Website & Digital Support
Update website content including pages, images, blogs, and events
Maintain brand consistency and accuracy
Support digital marketing efforts that drive engagement and visibility
Project Management & Administrative Support
Track projects and deadlines
Provide status updates and communicate progress
Maintain organized records of content and campaign assets
Assist with reporting and special projects

Required Skills
Strong photography and video skills
Strong writing and storytelling ability
Excellent organization and time management
Ability to manage multiple deadlines
Willingness to travel regularly
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Experience
Experience with social media management tools
Experience with paid social advertising (Meta Ads Manager)
Experience with video editing and content production
Experience in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or related industries
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in social media, marketing, or content creation
Experience managing Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or similar platforms
Experience using Canva or similar design tools
Physical Requirements
Regular computer use and visual focus
Frequent travel, walking, and standing
Ability to lift and carry light to moderate materials
