GDIT is seeking a Capture Director with primary responsibility for leading and winning new business opportunities with the Intelligence Community (IC) and USCYBERCOMMAND (USCC) markets. The successful candidate will report to the VP of Growth for Space and Cyber Intelligence, as part of the Intelligence and Homeland Security (IHS) Growth team. You will lead pre‑proposal shaping activities, orchestrate capture activities during the proposal phase and post‑submittal activities, and must show a proven methodology toward increasing win probability. This position provides an outstanding opportunity to play a leadership role as we work together to apply the breadth of resources available in our organization to critical technology and mission challenges across the Intelligence Community. Responsibilities and Impact

  • Lead capture activities to win key opportunities in Cyber, HPC, Analytics, Research, and Enterprise IT for the Space and Cyber Intelligence Sector.
  • Manage opportunities ranging up to $2B, collaborating with operations and engineering personnel.
  • Determine capture team resource requirements and manage costs throughout the Bid Acquisition Process.
  • Engage customers, partners, and stakeholders to qualify new business opportunities.
  • Interface between Business Development and internal/external stakeholders to develop technical, management, and pricing strategies.
  • Direct development of solution concepts, CONOPS, and path to win.
  • Manage multiple capture efforts simultaneously.
  • Provide business intelligence to understand customer needs and competitor capabilities.
  • Develop win themes, value propositions, and partnership strategies.
  • Establish competitive pricing structures and team with cost estimating to achieve optimal cost advantage.
  • Co‑lead with Proposal Manager on color team reviews for consistent process adherence.
  • Support continual business development process improvement.
  • Capture, document, maintain and report capture and pursuit metrics.
  • Meet or exceed performance goals while maintaining compliance with Federal Procurement and Business Ethics Codes.

Qualifications and Success Factors

  • 5+ years of proven experience capturing and winning new business ($200M+ opportunities) in the IC/USCC market.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; technical discipline preferred.
  • Leadership experience managing high‑performing teams, running review teams, and developing winning bid strategies.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; market and customer trend analysis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, organizational, time‑management, and sales skills.
  • Track record of identifying, qualifying, and assisting capture and proposal efforts for large technology‑based solutions contracts in the Federal Government, emphasis on IC.
  • Knowledge of major industry competitors in Maryland (Ft. Meade area).
  • Current, active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Location: Hybrid to Annapolis Junction, MD; work at least 3 days per week in office/customer sites as needed.

Salary

The likely salary range for this position is $191,250 - $258,750. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
