Position Overview
Spartan Surfaces is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Product Representative to grow our presence throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with architects, designers, end users, and commercial flooring stakeholders while promoting Spartan's portfolio of innovative flooring and surface solutions.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building meaningful relationships, and is passionate about helping clients find solutions that support their design and project goals. While flooring experience is valued, we are equally interested in individuals from adjacent commercial interior product industries who possess strong A&D relationships and exceptional relationship-building skills.
This position requires a highly motivated individual who can work independently, manage a large territory, and represent Spartan Surfaces with professionalism, energy, and enthusiasm. This role is ideal for a true territory builder — someone who is proactive, visible, and highly engaged with the A&D, end-user, and commercial flooring communities. The right candidate will bring strong local relationships, a hunter mentality, and the ability to create momentum across key verticals including
healthcare, education, multifamily, and corporate interiors . This is not a maintenance role. We are looking for someone who wants to get out in the market, build the Spartan brand, develop meaningful partnerships, and help drive continued growth in one of our key expansion territories.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the Northern California market
Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, end users, facility leaders, owners, developers, and commercial decision-makers
Drive specification opportunities through consistent A&D and end-user engagement
Grow business across healthcare, education, multifamily, corporate, and institutional markets
Identify new project opportunities and build long-term account relationships
Conduct product presentations, customer meetings, lunch-and-learns, and market visits
Partner closely with internal Spartan teams to support customers from specification through project completion
Represent Spartan Surfaces with professionalism, urgency, and a relationship-first approach
Increase brand visibility and market share throughout the Northern California territory
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a motivated commercial sales professional who knows how to build relationships, create opportunity, and stay active in the market. This person should be comfortable managing a territory independently while also collaborating with a larger team.
Ideal Experience
Commercial interiors, architectural products, building materials, furniture, surfaces, or related industry experience also considered
Experience calling on A&D firms, end users, owners, developers, facility teams, and commercial decision-makers
Strong understanding of specification-driven sales
Established relationships in the Northern California commercial interiors market
Experience selling into healthcare, education, multifamily, corporate, or institutional environments
