Responsible for developing and executing the advertising, marketing and communications strategy for a specified region of Hy‑Vee, Inc. retail locations.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Expert knowledge of traditional marketing, including but not limited to television, radio, newspaper, direct mail, event marketing and guerrilla marketing tactics.
Organizes and executes various marketing promotions in alignment with corporate office.
Oversees the implementation of the company’s brand strategies and corporate marketing initiatives.
Communicates strategy, objectives and goals effectively with retail leadership teams.
Communicates all corporate ad and event sale details to store leadership and department managers to ensure all parties can execute as effectively as possible.
Coordinates all local ad and event sales.
Works with local newspaper and/or other vendors to place local ads, and with design teams to create and approve all local print ads.
Builds local sponsorships and community programs with retail leadership teams.
Pre‑event planning and day‑of event execution for various community and sponsorship related events.
Reports on effectiveness and outcomes of weekly ads, promotions and campaigns to retail leadership teams.
Prepares marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program and campaign success.
Maintains a detailed content calendar in alignment with corporate office and regional stores.
Communicates budgetary needs to retail leadership teams.
Acts as spokesperson for the region for various media outlets as directed by Communications.
Manages response to customer service inquiries via email and social media.
Maintains Hy‑Vee brand in all forms of marketing and advertising in alignment with corporate standards.
Stays informed about the market, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, while helping strategize and implement marketing, branding, and advertising plans.
Educates and trains store employees on traditional marketing best practices.
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related area, or equivalent work experience preferred. Proficiency with traditional marketing, including radio, television, newspaper, direct mail, out of home, and event marketing preferred. Five years of similar or related work experience.
Secondary Duties And Responsibilities
Provides media credits and charges to stores at inventory.
Represents Hy‑Vee at functions.
Responsible for payments to renew memberships.
Assists in other areas of store as needed.
Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions
The duties for this position are normally conducted in an office environment. The job requires frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
Equipment Used To Perform Job
Standard office equipment including phone, calculator, copier, fax, PC/Mac with word processing and spreadsheet software.
Contacts
In daily contact with department managers, suppliers, vendors, customers, employees, general public, community, and local schools for donation requests.
Confidentiality
Has access to confidential information including knowledge of advertising rates, pricing information, and store sales. Must maintain confidentiality.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen.
