Electrical Designer II

Full Time | Broomfield, CO, United States
Hourly Salary Range: $26.00 to $30.00
About the Role

Proactively perform advanced electrical design for midstream oil and gas projects, independently and under direction of experienced designers and engineers. Project assignments include designing electrical, instrument and control drawings. Reports to Manager, Electrical Designer.
What You’ll Do

Annotate and layout complex electrical, instrument, and control drawings with limited direction.
Assist and review drawings of less experienced designers, marking up as needed.
Perform basic 3D modeling using Kahuna pre-developed tools with some direction.
Lead the electrical, instrument and control design portion of small projects while coordinating with designers and engineers.
Demonstrate understanding of electrical theory and industrial components.
Follow standards and procedures, maintaining security and confidentiality of drawings.
Communicate technical and administrative project details via email and documentation.
Operate Navisworks Freedom, enabling basic integration between engineering and design.
Engage professionally with clients and vendors.
Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring

Self-starter with initiative, able to work with some guidance and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of engineering specifications, applicable codes, materials, and their design impact.
Detail-oriented, precise, organized, capable of prioritizing and multitasking.
Typically 3-6 years of progressive relevant design experience (minimum 2 years).
High School diploma or equivalent; community college drafting/CAD courses preferred.
Broad computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, AutoCAD®, Bluebeam Revu.
