Job Summary
The position leads a large inside sales team, driving performance through strategic staffing, coaching, and operational excellence. The role ensures dependable service, accurate execution, and transparent collaboration across departments to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of 10–20+ inside sales associates to achieve performance goals.

Own staffing models and performance management processes to optimize resources.

Drive sales initiatives and provide coaching to enhance associate effectiveness.

Track overrides and special-order pricing to maintain margin governance.

Develop associates in new trades, products, and geographies to expand capabilities.

Ensure order accuracy, customer satisfaction, and compliance with operational standards.

Partner across departments to align strategies and improve operational efficiency.

Leverage analytics to monitor performance and guide decision-making.

Nature and Scope

Requirements involve analysis and investigation.

Achieve planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.

Manage a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervise support staff.

Work Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area; occasional unpleasant conditions are infrequent and not objectionable.

Majority of time spent sitting; frequent opportunity to move about, with rare occasions requiring moving or lifting light items.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline.

Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field.

May require certification; an advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated proven leadership and team development skills for managing large groups.

Advanced knowledge of sales strategies, pricing governance, and operational controls.

Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities to optimize staffing and performance.

Effective and transparent communication, collaborating across functions.

Ability to coach and mentor associates for growth and success.
