About Cannonball:
Cannonball Music Hall is an independent live music venue and bar in Raleigh, NC, built for local artists and the people who love them. We host everything from live metal, rock, indie, and bluegrass to comedy open mics, themed parties, Burlesque, and movie nights. Basically we'll try anything once. We're proudly community-focused, unapologetically unpretentious, and believe the best nights out only need great people, loud music, and a cold drink.
About the Position:
10–15 Hours Per Week | Flexible Schedule | Evenings & Weekends Required
We are looking for a reliable creative to join our small team and help tell the story of Cannonball online. You'll create content, cover live events, and keep our social channels active with the same personality that people experience when they walk through the door.
Responsibilities:
- Create and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Capture photos and videos during concerts, comedy shows, and special events
- Edit short-form videos, reels, and stories
- Design simple graphics using Canva or AdobeCC
- Write captions and schedule posts promoting upcoming events
- Brainstorm creative content ideas and social campaigns
- Highlight bands, comedians, drinks, staff, and behind-the-scenes moments
- Monitor comments and messages when needed and flag anything requiring a response
- Help maintain a consistent voice and personality across all platforms
Requirements:
- Experience creating engaging social media content
- Ability to shoot and edit quality photos and videos on a phone or camera
- Understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and current social trends
- Familiarity with Meta Business Suite
- Strong writing skills and a good sense of humor
- Organized and able to manage multiple upcoming events
- Comfortable working independently
- Can regularly work evenings and weekends during live events (at least once a week)
- Love local music, comedy, and community events
Hours and Compensation:
- 10–15 hours per week $20/hr
- Flexible schedule with some required evening and weekend coverage
